Literature Intimate

"Literature Intimate" is a writing prompt/game concept created for the SeedComp! 2023 Planting round. Despite the title, it is SFW.

The prompt is this:

A young woman finds a letter written by her late uncle years ago. In it, he reveals the location of his entire liquid fortune, until now thought lost. It's hidden on the grounds of his estate, and he's left clues for whomever may find his letter to find it.

But something is off. The letter is in her uncle's hand, but the prose feels different from what he might write. And... when she sets the letter down and returns later, she could swear that it's *changed.* Nothing too drastic, just a word or two nudging her in a different direction, but enough to be unnerving.

Little does she know, there is indeed a dark force interfering with her uncle's letter. It's the same evil entity that claimed her uncle's soul years ago, and that now wants to claim her soul as well. The evil entity alters her uncle's words, little by little, to guide her to her doom.

And that evil entity? That's you.
